Inmates of the Mazaruni Prison on Saturday harvested more than 500 kg of produce from what they had planted on the prison farm. Agriculture is one of the main rehabilitation programmes being offered by the Guyana Prison Services (GPS).
Among the produce harvested were a total of 245 pounds of boulanger (eggplant) and a large quantity of carambola (five-finger), a press release said.
