St. Stanislaus, Kwakwani, Christianburg/Wismar romp to wins in Basketball Festival

St. Stanislaus College, Kwakwani, and Christianburg/Wismar recorded comfortable group stage wins, when the ExxonMobil National School Basketball Festival continued yesterday at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.

St. Stanislaus College dismissed Vryman’s Erven 38-11. Brandon McKoy led the rout with 11 points, eight rebounds, and six steals, whilst Alafin Joseph added eight points and five rebounds. For the loser, Nohoj Baird scored nine points and five rebounds.

Similarly, Kwakwani crushed Mahaicony Technical Institute (MTI) 45-31. Kelon Phillips recorded figures of 16 points and nine rebounds, whilst Kassim English contributed 15 points. For the loser, Nahum Rigby recorded a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds.
