Phillip Squires upset No.7 seed Ronald Murray to earn a berth in the quarterfinal round of the Men’s Open when the Guyana Tennis Association ‘One Guyana’ Championship continued at the National Racquet Centre, Woolford Avenue.
Squires prevailed in straight sets 6/2, 6/2 to set up a match with Anthony Downes. Meanwhile, Martin Campbell prevailed over the experienced Steve David-Longe 1/6, 6/2, 7/6 (2) in the Men’s 35 Singles.
