The Guyana Police Force (GPF) kept their title hopes alive, arresting Buxton United 6-0 in the KFC Elite League at the National Training Centre, Providence.
Jemar Harrigon opened the scoring in the eighth minute, uncorking a powerful right footed strike from 30 yards out in the centre of the field which settled into the far corner. Daren Benjamin then made his presence felt in the 38th minute, scoring directly from a corner-kick, as the ball evaded everyone inside the box and settled into the back of the net.
The score-line remained unchanged heading into the halftime interval.
