Prospect, Keyon Britton and the Forgotten Youth Foundation (FYF) Gym earned the marquee trophies when the Guyana Boxing Association (GBA) staged its Pepsi/Mike Parris U16 tournament yesterday at the Andrew ‘Sixhead’ Lewis Gym.
Britton, a standout from the Vergenoegen Boxing Gym, triumphed with a first round stoppage of Nikosi Hinds to earn the coveted best boxer award at the event.
In one of the most exciting bouts on the card, the 13 year-old and his opponent Hinds threw punches in bunches, much to the jubilation of the small but raucous crowd that circled the ring.
