A man who was wanted by police for felonious wounding was arrested yesterday.
Michael Isaacs, 34, of Dazzel Housing Scheme, East Coast Demerara, was arrested at the Bartica Stelling yesterday morning. He was also found with an unlicensed firearm.
According to a police release, he was arrested at about 09.45 hours yesterday and when the police searched him, they found an unlicensed .32 pistol in his possession.
Isaacs was told of the offence, and he admitted ownership of the firearm. He is currently in custody at the Bartica Police Station pending charges for both matters.
