10 Shodans confirmed as ASK Guyana conducts grading examination

A total of nine students were promoted to the rank of 1st Degree Black Belt when the Association do Shotokan Karate of Guyana conducted their grading examinations on Sunday at the Youth Men Christian Association (YMCA) dojo, Thomas Lands.

The students who rose to the rank of Shodan [1st Degree Black Belt] were Marissia Appanah, Jude Thompson, Jade Thompson, Zareezyah Levans, Samara Siland, Theron Lake, Teshana Lake, David Melville, Joshua Nimar, and Rahman Hussain. The examination was administered by Shuseki Shihan Frank Woon-A-Tai 10th Dan, whilst assistance was provided by Shihan Amir Khouri 7th Dan, and Sensei Hazrat Ali 6th Dan.
