Off-duty Inspector in shootout on Hadfield St after attack on man

Police recovering the bandit’s gun dropped at the crime scene

Yesterday at 7.40 pm, a Detective Inspector of Police traded gunfire with one of two men who were assaulting a  man on Hadfield Street.

No injury has been reported thus far.

The police in a statement last night said that the Inspector was with friends at the Millennium Manor Hotel and Bar,  located at Camp and Hadfield streets, when he observed two men approach another man who had emerged from a white motor car which was parked on the southern side of Hadfield Street.
