The fixture between Vengy and Riddim Squad in the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) Senior Men’s League ended prematurely yesterday following an altercation which resulted in the former leaving the playing area and refusing to continue the match at the National Training Centre, Providence.
The altercation occurred after Johannis Mendonza of Vengy shoved Gordon in the abdomen, which resulted in the latter retaliating by throwing two punches in his opponent’s direction. Both players were immediately ejected from the match by officials in the 74th minute, with Mendonza receiving his second yellow card and Gordon being dealt a red card.
