Man gets four years for Kitty drug trafficking

Caldwell Jackson (address not stated) who in 2022 was nabbed with narcotics by the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) was yesterday found guilty of the offence of drug trafficking and was sentenced to a four-year term of imprisonment.

Jackson appeared before Magistrate Delon Bess at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

The court heard that on Wednesday May 11th, 2022, at Queen Street, Kitty, Georgetown, the defendant had in his possession 938 grams of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.

Jackson was yesterday told that he was found guilty of the offence and was sentenced to four years behind bars and fined $844,000.
