Singh yesterday visited the National U17 team at the hostel following the team’s final training session ahead of the upcoming Cricket West Indies (CWI) Rising Stars Regional Under-17 Tournament which commences today and ends September 1, in Trinidad and Tobago.
According to a press release, In a short meeting, Singh met with the players and management where he encouraged the group to be inspired by the Guyana U-13 team that returned yesterday triumphant following a 2-0 series victory over their TT counterparts.
The victorious Under-13 squad, under head coach Amir Rahaman, stopped by the hostel proudly displaying their hard-earned trophies to the GCB President and the under-17 players prior to them returning to their respective counties.
