A 25-year-old horse cart operator was stabbed to death on Monday night during an argument at a shop in Sophia.
Dead is 25-year-old Mark Harris, a father of four, of Lot 90 Plum Park, Sophia, Georgetown.
According to the police, the incident occurred at about 19.30 hours on Monday. The suspect and the victim were known to each other and had an ongoing issue. They were both at a shop in Plum Park when an argument ensued.
The victim who was allegedly armed with a knife, attempted to stab the suspect. He in turn, held on to the knife while removing a pair of scissors from his waist, and stabbed the victim twice to his body. The victim then ran off and collapsed a short distance away.
