Today is the proverbial calm before the storm that is this year’s Winfield Braithwaite Caribbean Schoolboys/Juniors Championship which boxes off tomorrow at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue.
This year, teams from Barbados, Grenada, and Trinidad and Tobago have come here with one goal in mind which is to defeat the home team in its very own backyard and return home as Lords of regional amateur boxing.
However, the locals have other ideas namely to use the home court to their advantage and crown themselves as the rightful Kings of the fistic sport.
