Driver charged with defrauding employer of over $2m

Hakeem Khan, (address not stated), appeared yesterday at the George-town Magistrate’s Court before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly to answer to a charge of fraud.

He pleaded not guilty.

It is alleged that on November 22, at Sheriff Street, Georgetown, Khan being solely entrusted by Suneeta Singh, a cashier employed by Mima Décor, with the sum of $2,130,000 in order to make payments to Ramps Logistics on behalf of Mima Décor, converted to the money to his own use and benefit.
