Three men died in a four-vehicle accident at Unity, Mahaica on Saturday night and two others were injured.
Those who perished were 21-year-old Elijah Pellew of Lot 38 Unity, Mahaica; 21-year-old Raymond Rose of Lot 57 Supply, Mahaica and Shawn Persaud, 19, of Huntley, Mahaicony.
Police said that the accident occurred at about 10.04 pm on the Unity Public Road.
The accident involved a motorcycle ridden by Pellew with Rose as his pillion rider and motor car, PGG 9823 owned and driven by Balram Thuknauth, 21, of Lot 9 Huntley, Mahaicony. Persaud was a passenger along with Baskar Ramdeen, 19, of Lot 228 Back Street, Better Hope, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
