Guyana’s maequee poerlifter Carlos Petterson-Grifith and Keisha Abrigo were declared best lifters Sunday as the 2023 edition of the Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation (GAPLF) Raw Nationals concluded at the National Gymnasium.
Some 18 athletes including five females competed where a total of 16 records were set. At the end of the two flights of competition, Petterson-Griffith, competing for the first time in the 105kg men’s Open category, won a three-way battle against Tremel King and Paul Meusa for the gold medal.
He duly was declared the overall best lifter earning a Fitness Express hamper for his exploits.
