The calendar has flipped to September and a team of local golfers are assiduously preparing for the challenge which awaits in Barbados in just a few weeks.

A team comprising a dozen golfers, one of the largest contingents to take its talents overseas, will strive to return home with honors for Guyana when they compete in the Barbados Open Golf Championship from September 15-17.

This is according to a release dispatched to the media recently by the Guyana Golf Association (GGA), which is headed by Aleem Hussain.
