The Guyana Police Force has issued a traffic advisory on the East Bank Demerara as the country prepares to host 10 matches in this year’s Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) including the final.

With six home matches and the playoffs in the mix, matches will begin on Wednesday and run until September 24 at the National Stadium, Providence.

According to the correspondence, to ensure a smooth flow of traffic along the highway, patrons driving are advised to proceed south along the eastern lane of the eastern carriageway while drivers proceeding further south are advised to use the western lane. The third lane along the eastern lane of the western carriageway will be used to filter traffic west across the Demerara Harbour Bridge.
