Hunter’s goal is to motivate and inspire

Romeo Hunter

Athletes inspire many through their achievements and positive mindset. From the young to adults, everyone admires and looks up to high performance athletes and many consider them role models.

Powerlifter Romeo Hunter, who recently returned from the World Sub-Junior and Junior Powerlifting Championships in Romania with a squat gold medal in tow, has aspirations to use his platform to motivate and inspire his peers as well as adults.

At just 16, Hunter is the current holder of 18 national records in the Open and under-18 (sub-junior) divisions. However, that is just the start of  his achievements. As much as he dominates on the platform, Hunter is also a ‘beast’ with the books and in the classroom. The USA-born son of Oudit Seenarain, who attended Apex Academy, passed nine CSEC subjects when he sat the examinations earlier this year.
