Arson determined in four fires

Four buildings were destroyed over the last two days in fires determined to be arson in three different parts of the country leaving four people homeless.

A crew from the Mahaica Fire Station responded at about 23:45 hrs to a building that was on fire at Lot 79 Mosquito Hall, Unity, East Coast Demerara. Upon arrival, they found a two-storey, wooden building owned and occupied by Kubram Ramlall engulfed in flames. The Guyana Fire Service say the fire was maliciously set and destroyed the building, leaving its occupant homeless.
