Boxers to wing out Saturday for Cuba stint

Five of the country’s  top Simon Pures are scheduled to depart Guyana Saturday for Cuba where they will be involved in training sessions leading up to their participation at next month’s Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile.

This is according to president of the Guyana Boxing Association Steve Ninvalle who briefed reporters at a Press Conference yesterday at the Mirage building, Albert and Third Street, Alberttown.

“We’re scheduled to send five boxers out to Cuba on Saturday for a three-week training stint in preparation for the Pan Am Games, Ninvalle said yesterday.
