Water protest:

Residents of Constituency 14 in the vicinity of Penny Lane last evening expressed their dissatisfaction with the absence of running water to their homes for more than three days. After engaging representatives of the Guyana Police Force and the Guyana Fire Service, they were able to come to an amicable solution, according to a post by city councillor Kibwe Copeland on the APNU Facebook page last night. The post said that the Fire Service is delivering water to affected residents and the Guyana Water Inc is working to restore running water to homes. This photo shows firemen putting out a fire that was set in protest over the water situation. (APNU photo)
