Seaton dominates Torpedo Club’s Open water swim meet

One of Guyana’s leading young male swimmers, Leon Seaton, held off a field of 23 swimmers to clinch first place overall when the Torpedo Swim Club pulled off its 3KM Open Water Swim Meet in Linden Sunday last. 

The meet, which was open to seven age categories, attracted swimmers in the 13-14 years, 15-17 years, 18 & over and one athlete (a 62-year old male) in the Masters category.

The Open water course began from De Jong’s Boat landing on the Mackenzie Shore, moved to Catapuli Creek (opposite Speightland) and returned to De Jong’s Boat landing on the Wismar Shore.
