Parika boy beaten by stepfather out of danger

The 4-year-old Parika boy who was beaten by his stepfather to the point of having a fractured skull and other injuries, appears to be “out of danger” while some ranks are under investigation in relation to their handling of the matter.

This was stated by Commander of Regional Division #3, Assistant Commissioner Mahendra Siwnarine, who added the injured boy remains hospitalised, but is out of danger.

The Commander also said that while the child is out of danger, the Office of Professional Responsibility is also looking into the conduct of the ranks on the night of the incident as they only responded to the scene six hours later.
