New Vision Labs greenlighted by EPA

New Vision Labs Inc has received its environmental permit from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), following an application that was made in June this year. The permit details that the company’s operation at 176 Middle Street, Georgetown does not pose a threat to the environment, thus exempting it from undergoing an Environmental Impact Assessment.

According to an EPA public notice,  the project is a small medical facility which will in no way negatively impact the surrounding environment. In addition, the project is situated in a commercial area, and it is not in an environmentally sensitive location.

New Vision Labs Inc submission to the EPA included a floor plan of the building and what it houses, project summary, and details on the safety measures put in place. The four-storey laboratory building contains 14 rooms, seven washrooms, a lunchroom, an admin floor and two waiting areas.
