Hydroponic farm and shade house: President Irfaan Ali (left) visited the hydroponic farm at the National Agricultural Research and Extension Institute (NAREI) at Mon Repos yesterday afternoon. A release from the Office of the President said that currently, the farm has 25,000 plants, including cauliflower, kale, habanero, and five varieties of lettuce and cucumbers. The farm, which is being managed by a group of young people, is in the process of boosting production and within a few weeks, produce will be delivered to local markets and hotels.
