Charlestown labourer arrested over pistol, ammo

The 9mm semi-automatic pistol and fifteen 9mm rounds that were discovered by police

A 25-year-old labourer of Charlestown, Georgetown, was arrested by police on mobile patrol at Pouderoyen, Public Road, West Bank Demerara for being in possession of an unlicensed 9mm semi-automatic pistol and fifteen 9mm rounds.

Police ranks from Regional Division 3, were on mobile patrol duty on the Pouderoyen public road, West Bank Demerara, at about 23.10 hours on Thursday, when they observed two identifiable men acting suspiciously. The men were identified as Shawn Collins, called ‘Gully’, a 25-year-old labourer of Charlestown, Georgetown, and Steffon Howard, a 23-year-old labourer of East La Penitence, Georgetown.
