Malteenoes Sports Club, Everest Cricket Club and the Georgetown Cricket Club teams all notched up wins in the Pepsi-sponsored Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) first-division 50-overs competition last weekend.
Everest crush Transport
On Saturday, Everest hosted Transport Sports Club and emphatically thrashed the Thomas Lands club by 148 runs.
Batting first Everest’s total of 364 was powered by a blitzkrieg of a century from all-rounder Clinton Pestano who made 157 from just 76 deliveries with 12 fours and 14 maximums. He was well supported by Richie Looknauth’s 55 as their side’s total proved to be too much for Transport.
