East Bank community roads to see $4.1b worth of work

The PPP/C Government yesterday signed $4.1 billion in contracts for the construction of 100 community roads along the East Bank Demerara corridor.

It came a day after $7.8b worth of contracts for East Coast community roads were signed.

Minister in the Ministry of Public Works, Deodat Indar, speaking at the signing ceremony yesterday at Friendship on the East Bank, urged contractors not to squander the opportunity and emphasised the Ministry of Public Works’ zero-tolerance for substandard work.
