Minister of Home Affairs Robeson Benn met 74 trainees at the Guyana Fire Service Training Centre, Leonora during a recent impromptu visit there; he also called in at the Anna Regina Fire Station, a Home Affairs ministry release stated.
The purpose of the visits was to encourage and assess the readiness and operational effectiveness of these essential facilities, the release said. It added that the visits underscored the government’s commitment to understanding and fortifying the country’s emergency response infrastructure.
