Three homeless after West Coast Berbice fire

A West Coast Berbice pensioner and her two sons are now homeless and contemplating their next move after a fire completely destroyed their home on Tuesday afternoon at Number 12 Village.

According to Sukhwantie Ramnarine, 60, of Lot 64 Number 12 Village, she left home around 2 am on Tuesday en route to the Bourda Market where she sells vegetables, while her sons: ages 19 and 21 left home just around 8 am.

She explained, that while she was returning home after selling just around 5 pm, she was informed that her house was completely engulfed in flames. She said that by the time she arrived home the entire house was in flames and nothing could be saved.
