Four vagrants on larceny charges remanded to prison

Four persons who the police described as vagrants were refused bail and remanded to prison after they were charged with larceny.

Michael George, Leon Chung, Nicolas Marks and Carl Fraser appeared before Magistrate Rhondel Weever at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

It is alleged that between November 12 and 14, 2023 while in Bourda Market they broke and entered a stall owned and operated by Osafo Cranmore and carted off three bales of cigarettes valued $225,000, one tool kit with a quantity of tools valued $50,000, one electric drill valued $40,000, bales of toilet paper valued $14, 000, 6 bales of Macaroni valued $24.000, one case of corned beef valued $15,000 and 12 rolls of Bounty Tissue valued $12,000  along with two cases of Colgate valued $24,000 totalling $404,000. They all pleaded not guilty to the charge.
