Corentyne man remanded over shop murder

A Corentyne man was yesterday remanded to prison after he was charged with the murder of a Clifton Settlement, Corentyne construction worker who was stabbed last Sunday evening following an argument at a shop while attempting to purchase something to drink.

Andrew Seegobin, 30, also a construction worker of Clifton, Corentyne appeared at the Reliance Magistrate’s Court where he was read the charge of murder committed on Ramanand Mingo, 29, on November 19 at John’s Settlement, Corentyne.

He was not required to plead to the indictable charge and was remanded to prison. 

Seegobin, who was represented by Attorney at Law, Mursaline Bacchus, will return to court on December, 11.
