More Labour Ministry officers certified for work on oil platforms

More officers of the Ministry of Labour are now certified  to work on Floating Production, Storage and Offloading oil platforms in the Atlantic.

A release from the ministry said that they were certified in the Tropical Basic Off-shore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (T-BOSIET) 5501, and the Off-shore Petroleum Industry Training Organi-zation (OPITO) Compressed Air Emer-gency Breathing System (CA-EBS) 5903.

The team comprised Maxean Bess, Senior Occupational Safety and Health Officer;  Nazmoon Prittipaul Jaipaul, Occupational Safety and Health officer; and Labour Officers, Ravi Persaud and Emanuel Ramdhial.
