Charlestown man confessed to stealing revolver from PGS – police

Horace Thomside,  security guard was arrested and is slated to be charged for stealing a .38 revolver along with five rounds of .38 ammunition, property of his employer Professional Guard Service (PGS), located in Subryanville, the police said yesterday.

According to Olton Mars, a 38-year-old driver employed with PGS, at around 07:00 hrs on 2023/11/24, he signed and collected eight .38 revolvers and two shotguns from Sabrina Henry, a 26-year-old Duty Officer employed with PGS.

Mars said that after signing for the firearms, he placed them under the mat in the front passenger seat of the motor car he was driving. He then proceeded to Pradoville/Ogle, East Coast Demerara, where he picked up Thomside, a 23-year-old security guard employed with PGS, and who lives in Adelaide Street, Charlestown, to take him to a site at Saffon Street, Charlestown.
