Four football referees survive Hopetown smash-up

The vehicle that the referees were travelling in.

On Sunday night, four Guyana Football Federation referees were involved in a car accident in Hopetown, Berbice.  Despite the car being totalled, the officials survived the accident without life threatening injuries.

Referees Gladwin  Johnson, Kleon Lindey, upcoming referee Safyia Goulding and referee assessor  Ingram Johnson were all in the vehicle heading home from a match they had officiated at Eve Leary in Georgetown, when they were involved in the accident around 1:00 am.
