IDB lending pipeline at US$550m as board approves country strategy

The Board of Executive Directors of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has approved a new Country Strategy with Guyana for 2023 through 2026 and there is an indicative lending pipeline of US$550m.

A release from the Bank yesterday stated that the strategy will be focused on resilient infrastructure, human capital development with an emphasis on improving health and education outcomes and social services and strengthening institutional capacity.   

Further, the strategy which has an indicative lending pipeline of US$550 million from the sovereign side of the bank, aims to continue supporting Guyana in its pursuit of sustainable development and inclusive growth within a diversified economy.
