Residents of Hyde Park, Timehri, on the East Bank of Demerara have for months been experiencing issues with their potable water supply.
During a visit to Hyde Park on December 6, Stabroek News spoke to several residents about the cost of living and how it’s affecting them prompting one resident to express his dissatisfaction about being without water for months and further complain about the discoloured water when it finally flows once per week. To add insult to injury, the resident stated that his water bill has increased despite not receiving water like he should.
