Man wanted over killing of wife at Sunset Hotel ingested poison

The post-mortem results for Sadesh Appadu, 33, of Kilcoy, Chesney, Coren-tyne, Berbice, who was pronounced dead on December 15 at the Port Mourant Hospital after being on the run from the police following the murder of his wife, showed that he had ingested a poison, the police revealed yesterday

The examination was conducted by government pathologist Dr Vivekanand Bridgemohan on Monday at the Port Mourant Hospital mortuary and gave the cause of death as bilateral pulmonary fibrosis and suspected ingestion of an organophosphate. The body was then handed over to the family for burial/cremation.

 Appadu had been wanted for the murder of his wife, Romona Lall, which took place between November 11 and 12.
