Policemen charged with conspiring to rob Chinese national granted bail

The two policemen who were charged with conspiring to rob a Chinese national of $8 million reappeared on Wednesday before Chief Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus at the Georgetown Magis-trate’s Court where they were granted bail in the sum of $500,000 on each charge.

Julian Smartt and Winston Williams were jointly charged with conspiracy to commit robbery back on December 5 after they appeared before Magistrate Isaacs-Marcus.

It is alleged that that on November 29, while at Prashad Nagar, George-town, they conspired together along with two others to rob Chinese national, Qi Lin, of $8 million in cash while armed with a gun.
