The Jits & Neelam-sponsored West Demerara Cricket Association Senior 40-Over competition continued during the last week with third-round action and saw All-Youths and Meten Meer Zorg Defenders among the winners.
At the Zeelugt ground, the All-Youths club got the better of their hosts with a five-wicket win. The hosts took the first strike and compiled 201 all-outs, with Khamdaiya Ramkarran leading the way with 68 not-outs, inclusive of six maximums and six boundaries.
He was supported by Suresh Ramdeen and Tameshwar Dass, who scored 25 each. Greg Singh was the destroyer in chief for the All-Youths bowling line-up with 4/23, while Jermaine Ramroop had 2/40.
