Miner charged with break and enter, larceny

Twenty-seven year-old miner, Michael York, appeared yesterday before Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman at the George-town Magistrate’s Court, where he was charged with break and enter and larceny.

It is alleged that between December 27 and 28, 2023, York, while in the company of another, broke and entered the business place of Estwick North and stole one 32-inch Emerald Pro television worth $39,000, one 42-inch Kodak television valued $30,000, one HP monitor valued $15,000, a pair of JBL speakers valued $800,000, and a quantity of alcohol valued $67,000 for a total value $941,600.

York pleaded not guilty to the charge.
