Coconut vendor charged with possession of cannabis

Forty-one-year-old Jermaine Benjamin, a coconut vendor of 47 West Ruimveldt Housing Scheme, Georgetown, appeared yesterday before Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court where he was charged with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

It was alleged that on January 1, while at Brummel Place, Georgetown, Benjamin had in his possession, 343 grammes of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
