The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Shalimar Ali-Hack and team visited the Juvenile Holding Centre (JHC), on Thursday to have a first-hand insight into the facility and Juveniles currently being housed at the centre.
A release from the Ministry of Home Affairs said that during the visit, the DPP was given a walk-through of the facility by the Director of the Juvenile Justice Department, Joan Ann Edghill-Stuart, and was briefed on the various educational programmes offered to the juveniles at the centre. The DPP was also advised on the various offences and cases that are awaiting trial date.
