Taxi driver, Delon Bristol, 31, of Lot 36 Archer Street, East Canje, Berbice, appeared before Magis-trate Delon Bess at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Friday where he was charged with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
It is alleged that on January 9, while on George Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown, a taxi driven by Bristol, was intercepted by police ranks and a subsequent search unearthed 11.68 grams of cannabis.
Bristol pleaded not guilty to the charge.
