At the Kumaka District Hospital in Region One on Wednesday, the Ministry of Health commissioned a new Maternal and Child Health Sub Region Office (MCH).
The newly commissioned MCH Office aims to provide services for residents within its Sub-Region which houses 18 health facilities. Among these facilities are two health centres, one regional hospital and fifteen health posts.
Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony, during his remarks stated that over the last two years, the region has seen no maternal deaths which he said was a great accomplishment for the health sector.
