Four homeless after Agatash blaze

Four persons have been rendered homeless after a fire on Sunday at Agatash, Region Seven  which is believed to have been maliciously set.

The Guyana Fire Service (GFS) yesterday said that the Bartica Fire Station swiftly responded to a distress call at Agatash Squatting Area where the fire ravaged a wooden and concrete building on Sunday morning.

Firefighters were alerted to the blaze at 8.11 am and arrived at the site at 8.19 am. Led by leading firemen Hyderkhan and Innis, supported by a team of seven, the firefighters battled the flames.
