The charred remains of a 22-year-old man of Bagotville, West Bank Demerara, were discovered on Sunday, months after he was electrocuted in his attempt to jump a fence with friends during their plan steal fruits on a farm. The farmer has been held for questioning.

Crime Chief, Wendell Blanhum, confirmed that an investigation has been launched and the matter is being treated as man-slaughter.

At about 13:30 hours on Sunday, the remains suspected to be those of 22-year-old Shaquille Jones known as “Botha” of Lot 44 Inner Bagotville, West Bank Demerara, were discovered at Cone Shop Street, La Grange, West Bank Demerara, in a fire heap with burnt tires and what appeared to be a piece of burnt denim jeans and a piece of male underwear.
