Berbice engineer, Neil Madramootoo, who was charged with the murder of his partner, Ashmin Mahadeo in November last year was yesterday releas-ed after the matter was discharged at the Albion Magistrate’s Court.
In November, 2023, Madramootoo, 29, of Lot 13 Shoe Lane, New Amsterdam, had appeared before Magistrate Peter Hugh at the New Amster-dam Magistrate’s Court via Zoom, where he faced the charge that on October 1, 2023 at Williamsburg, Corentyne, he murdered Mahadeo.
He was not required to enter a plea and was remanded to prison.
