Guyana continued their unbeaten run in the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Women’s Super50 Championship, defeating Windward Islands by 44 runs yesterday at Warner Park in Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis.

Batting first, Guyana ended on 207/8 in their allotted overs. Shabika Gajnabi top scored with 61, while experienced skipper Shemaine Campbelle, who was pivotal in two eventual runouts, was the next best scorer with 42. Adding 29, and 21 runs apiece were Ashmini Munisar and Realeanna Grimmond, respectively. CN Noel was the pick of the bowlers with a 3-47.

In reply, the Windward Islands were bundled out for 163 in 40.2 overs. NK Crafton top scored with 47 before being bowled by Munisar, while ZA James contributed 21 runs.
